Thanks, this also works on Incredible. Important note: you can't be connected as a USB Disk Drive when you want to change your contacts' ringtones (after copying the MP3s of course). Switch to Charge/Sync mode or unplug the USB first.

it doesent just look good, it FRIKING AWESOOOOME
I love also the shortcuts, you type afk and it types “away from keyboard”
Also you can edit the shortcuts its ROCKS
It speeds up the typing a loooooooot
Great works guys keep it up…..

Yes, this should work on the Nexus One the same as it does on the Hero. Are you mounting your phone to you computer and accessing your SD Card?

Is this supposed to work with the Nexus One also? Cant make it... There are a /system/media/audio... folder there, but it is read-only. I'm not that keen on rooting my phone just yet...

Never believe a sales person or a wireless provider, that's my stance.

I went with Sprint's Hero because we were told we'd see 1.6 shortly after release. Here we are heading into March and they have me wondering what shortly after release actually means.

On the upside at least we have confirmation from HTC that the update is coming.

I hope it's released soon! The *ONLY* reason I bought the Eris over the regular droid, was for the Sense UI integration, and the fact that the Verizon person told me it would be updated to 2.x "Really Soon" That was back in November.

This is hardly just a war against Apple and THEIR app store. It affects BlackBerry's App world as well.

Also, it's impossible to have a " a single standard of apps that work across multiple devices.". We're talking about devices that run on very different architectures. Even if it was possible, it would never be accepted as it would most definitely be much harder to code for.

Seems that the mobile companies just want a slice of the pie as far as people paying for apps.

To my surprise Sprint's 3G network is outstanding. I say this after being a Verizon data card user for many years. If their 4G is any faster than their 3G, which I am certain it is then it is a no brainer for those of us that currently use Sprint's data networks. Unfortunately, my city doesn't have 4G yet but I am told it is expect at the end of this year. Nevertheless, the next Data Card I buy will be a 3G/4G card from Sprint.

$499.99, at one point over the holidays it was down at $49.99. Someone said they thought Verizon was trying to clear them out because of device issues. Personally I think everyone jumped on the Droid causing slow sales of the Eris which is basically the Hero rebranded. Once Sprint get's the Supersonic or whatever it's going to be called you'll see similar or lower pricing on the Hero and Moment.
